If you're in the market for a Vitamix, choose this if you're looking for the best bang for your buck or choose the A3500 if money is not a factor and are willing to pay a premium for aesthetics. You get the features of the Ascent line for less than the cost of the Explorian line - makes no sense tbh. My best guess is that they can't use the retail packaging they've designed for Costco because this BB kit doesn't include some of the extras that the Costco bundle comes with but idk for sure.Īnyway, this is a fantastic deal at $300 and even more so at $266. Why they decided to go this route? I have no clue. This could lead someone to believe that the unit is not new. Because of this poorly chosen packaging, the blender ends up being covered in particle fibers from the corrugated box during transit. It comes packaged in a basic brown box with the Vitamix logo on it, like you'd expect from a typical refurb unit. The confusion comes from the fact that these BB units are shipped in non-retail packaging directly from Vitamix. I even called Vitamix, gave them my serial number, and they confirmed that it's a new unit with a 10 year warranty. I can assure you that they're brand new units. I, too, was concerned about the review referencing a refurbished unit. Get it Thursday, 16 Mar - Saturday, 18 Mar. Bought this when it was on sale for $300 and I still think that was a steal.
